Hello from Switzerland!
I am writing to you from my little apartment in Saas Fee. We start classes tomorrow, and I’ve already met some lovely humans, a few professors, and a handful of new classmates.
So far so good.
I love the intoxication of the new thing, but, between you and me, I have been struggling with the enormity of the work I have signed up for while running my own business. This is a huge undertaking for anyone, and I hope to be able to tell you at the end that it was worth it.
For today, I am full of anticipation, wonder, and awe. I’ve always prided myself with being a good student, but I have not been in an academic setting in 24 years.
A new friend here gave me some advice: let it (the program/experience) work it’s magic on you. You can’t know what you will get from it until you surrender to the process.
How does one pack for surrender?
Definitely not how I packed for a month away!
I have a feeling I’ll need some tissues and a journal for that sort of experience.
What about you?
How do you surrender?
Finally, thank you for following along on my adventures. I love to hear from you, and getting your emails back makes my day.
Until next time~
Onward.
