One of the joys of my creative coaching career and 20 plus years as a professor is to collaborate with folks I got to coach / teach.

Years ago, I met

Melanie McGehee

at a #whatshesaidproject Story Slam at the Columbia Museum of Art. From her first story, through her commitment to her creative practice as a coaching client, and now to publishing her memoir and finishing her MFA in Creative Writing, Melanie and I have walked together.

She’s been a reader of mine, and watched as I publish my memoir, but now we are ready to bring our community some of the knowledge and skills that have helped.

May I present the first of our collaborations:

I cannot be more proud of Melanie, or more excited for you to join her as she pours into you and your writing, at whatever level you are.

Personally, I think Melanie’s style is perfect for folks who are new-er to Creative Nonfiction, but are curious about telling their personal stories.

This class starts September 9th, 2024, and meets on 4 Mondays at 7-8:30 pm eastern on zoom.
